It may have awakened them, but if their reaction is anything like what we see from leftists in this country, it will take more than merely a few thousand deaths to make it sink in.
I have been saying the same, the eorosnobs love their secular nonreligious society. They would hardly tolerate Sharia law and now they are getting a taste of their multi-culturalism. Islam is for Islam and Islam only and the rest can die or become Islam or live as second class citizens and pay tribute(jizya).
VDH is brilliant. What's happening in Europe seems like clear evidence that not all utopian liberal ideas are for the good of society.
Causing a loss of civil liberties perhaps? Still haven't heard a single liberal friend of mine come up with an example of a civil liberty that NSA wiretaps have taken from them.

Unfortunately the Europeans don't view this as a religious problem. They view the Muslim unrest through the prism of social inequality. Knowing the Europeans they'll just try placating the fanatical Muslims until it's too late.
