The Global Warming Bullies

This piece highlights the continuing efforts of some who believe global warming is human-caused to shut out dissenting voices, at the expense of open debat and scientific veracity.

That's not the kind of behavior that's characteristic of those who have the facts on their side. Rather than trying to stifle debate, why don't the man-made global warming enthusiasts rebut it -- with facts?

I'm open to being convinced about the reality of man made global warming, but it's hard not to be suspicious of people who are eager to impose drastic controls on the way Americans live . . . and don't even want to have to prove the necessarity of such measures to the satisfaction of normal people.

Update: Here's more about who the Union of Concerned Scientists -- one of the most prominent bully groups -- actually is. Hint: Its members fought President Reagan and agitated for a nuclear freeze during the '80's.

Ms. Liebau,

One question will answer for Us all we need to know of your opinion of Global Warming.

How old do you think the planet you live on is?

Carol,

Once again, there is no debate about global warming. The scientific concensus points to one conclusion: a warmer planet because of human activity. I challenge you to find one published scientific paper that does not come to this conclusion. You can't there are none.

Pain,

Why is that question in the least bit relevant?

Allegedly Sane Woman,

I don't think there's much argument about being in a warming cycle, but how much of it is due to man-made causes is indeed in dispute. And it's in enough dispute that AlGore refuses to debate those who disagree with him. Daniel Inhofe, I believe, is one politician who has delved into the issue and has plenty of sources contradicting the fear-mongers like Gore. The notion of a consensus agreeing with you is lib blather. Show us the polling results, so we can see all those who agree and those who don't. Otherwise, such statements regarding "consensus" are without value.

What parts of "scientific consensus" don't you understand. LOL

The part I don't understand is the part where one simply states there is consensus and the rest of us are expecting to swallow it. It's a ploy to put their agenda over the top. It means nothing without supporting it with a display of the polling results that would prove there is such a consensus. Unless EtC, you were just kidding around.
