Welcome to the Family

This morning's Boston Globe informs us:

Senator Clinton's brother Tony is battling an order to repay more than $100,000 he received from a couple pardoned by President Clinton.

Tony Rodham, who acknowledged approaching the president about a pardon for the couple, is the second of Hillary Clinton's brothers to receive money from people who were eventually pardoned by President Clinton. Hugh Rodham received $400,000 from two people, one of whom was pardoned and one whose sentence was commuted.

It's just business, Rodham-Clinton style. Although the senator had conceded that her brother Hugh had received some cash from those seeking the President's favors, she had previously denied that her other brother had likewise financially benefited.

But hey -- according to the Globe's take, all this is just coming out as a nasty attempt to hurt Hillary Clinton's presidential chances. Poor little thing.

WASHINGTON — President Bush's uncle William H.T. "Bucky" Bush was among directors of a defense contractor who together reaped $6 million from what federal regulators say was an illegal five-year scheme by two company executives to manipulate the timing of stock option grants, court documents show.

The youngest brother of former President George H.W. Bush, he is the second Bush family member whose name has surfaced in stock options scandals this month.

The Clintons' list of excuses (e.g., They "forgot," were "tricked," were victims of a "vast right wing conspiracy," "never knew" about Bill's serial philandering, didn't have "sex" with multiple women because "sex" doesn't include "oral sex," etc., etc., etc. ad nauseum) makes one wonder how St. Hillary would ever manage to function as president when the buck would stop at her own desk. But perhaps Webb Hubbell, David Watkins, Josh Steiner, Susan MacDougal, Craig Livingstone, Sandy Berger, Madeleine Albright, Janet Reno, Donna Shalala and other former Clinton scapegoats would be willing to work for her to provide further "personal services."
