A Disgrace (To Her Country & Her Gender)

It's not enough that Nancy Pelosi wanted to offer "photo op" credibility to the leadership of Syria -- that's right, the people who run an acknowledged state sponsor of terror, who have been linked to the assassination and attempted destabilization of Lebanon, who coddle Hezbollah, and throw in their lot with Iran.

Apparently it's not even enough that she dons a hijab -- a symbol to many women around the world, including in the Middle East, of oppression.

No, she can't even get it right when she attempts to convey a "message" from Israel to Syria, thereby forcing the Israeli Prime Minister to put out a clarification that exposes her incompetence or her duplicity. It's really doesn't matter whether Pelosi was deliberately deceitful or just hopelessly naive and inadequate -- it's still a pretty ugly scenario.

If a sexist mastermind had striven to create a national leader that would dissuade Americans from ever putting a woman in the commander-in-chief's chair, he couldn't have done better than Nancy Pelosi.

Poor Nancy is way out of her league. How did such a person become Speaker of the House directly in the succession line for the presidency. Amazing! And the left thinks Bush is stupid!

You know I was just waiting for you to mention this Carol.

I just can't understand why right wing commentators are so blind to the completely obvious:

1. Republican Congressmen were in Syria at the same time as Pelosi. Are you calling them pro terrorist?

2. Laura Bush also wore a headscarf when she visited the al-Aqsa mosque in Jerusalem. Is the First Lady also guilty of oppressing women?

This is really quite embarrassing Carol. Why do you think so many people are turning off right wing commentators? They, and you, make so many mistakes that it has got to affect people's state of mind.

In 08 there's going to be a Democrat voted in the White House and Congress totally controlled by the Dems. Why? Because the Democrats are so wonderful and intelligent? Don't make me laugh.

No. It's because right wing commentators just don't seem to do the research, don't seem to be able to understand how to think properly. And every mistake in judgement they make just makes them more irrelevant.

And, in the end, this affects the standing of Conservatives.

Perhaps you're just missing the pig jokes, the groping and the profanity.

Sadly, Nancy Pelosi reminds one of King Uzziah (2 Chron. 26). The king was very a talented man but when he became great, he was unfaithful. And then, he decided to do something that he was not equipped to do. Uzziah finished his life as a leper.

Let's pray for Nancy Pelosi that God's mercy would cover her foolish overstepping of authority.

OSO,

What makes you think anyone's turning off right-wing commentators? This is just wishful thinking on your part.

Any congressman who went is wrong and outside their duties. Pelosi is Speaker. If nothing else, there should be some semblance of a good example of how to be a congressman if one is Speaker. Any politician who stands before the cameras with his fly open is an idiot. But if the president has his fly open, it's worse. Get the distinction? There's also a bit of a difference between wearing the hijab for a sanctioned visit with friendlies, and doing so for a supreme thug with whom our country is at odds, though personally, I'd prefer it not be done at all.
