Strange Bedfellows

Funny -- radical cleric Moqtada el Sadr and the Democrats see eye to eye when it comes both to President Bush and the issue of withdrawing American troops from Iraq.

Does it ever give the Democrats pause that their policies are wholeheartedly embraced by America's enemies?

No, it doesn't. Despite a plainly drawn parallel between the enemy goals and the Democrats' "plans", they insist that they in no way support the enemy or wish to see American defeat. This blindness on their part is a major factor showing their incompetence to lead this nation.

So if a terrorist leader says "I follow the Dallas Cowboys", it's every patriotic American's duty to oppose the Dallas Cowboys.

Good logic there. It sort of fits with contemporary conservative thinking - ie believe everything a terrorist says if it reinforces your position.

OSO, and the relevance of that statement is? That is the sort of logic our mothers used to use-- "If everybody jumped off a bridge, would you?"

FActs - The Islamists want us dead. The Islamists want our form of government destroyed. The Islamists wnat Israel off the map.

OSO,

Don't be an idiot. The point is that there are plainly visible similarities in the goals of both, not that they are in cahoots. Thus, when we say that the left is helping the enemy, it is drawn from these similarities. I don't blame you for your denials, however. It must be awful to think in a manner that mirrors the efforts of those we fight. Try waking up.
