An Unexpected Plus

Jack Kelly points out the unexpected boon to the Republicans through the entire immigration bill debacle:

Democrats will try to hang the president like an albatross around Republican necks. Under normal circumstances, they would succeed.

But in Mr. Bush's uncanny ability to alienate Republicans nearly as much as he does Democrats may lie the GOP's salvation. Since so many of the president's heretofore loyal supporters are now furious with him, the Republicans vying to succeed him are free to join in the criticism . . ..

So you are now critical of President Bush now Carol?

Do you have loyalty more to the Republican party than to Bush?

Are you more loyal to conservative belief than the GOP?

Are you now willing to admit that the entire Iraq war was a colossal mistake?

OSO so 1 + 1 = 7???

Many republicans do not agree with the Presidents view of Immigration. I don't think Carol ever made the statement that Bush was omnipotent.

The conduct of the war could have been better, however How many Generals did Lincoln go through befor Grant cot control. Look up General Meade. Even George Washington, when General, was constantly second guessed. However afew key points:

1. we have a president who acts on his own conscience rather than watching polling data. This has both good and badfacets, I'll live with the bad - the good far ourweights it
2. We have not had a successfull attack on our shores since 9/11 (thank G-d)
3. Why is it that Australia and New Zealand have been relatively safe? Perhaps the British and America shield?

Please read some history!

One Salient Oversight, unlike some
political parties, such as the dem party, here in the U.S., we, in he Republican party encourage and engage in a unigue concept called free thought. (You should try it sometime, but I digress) While other parties walk in lockstep in some sort of bizzare cultish and mindless fashon, many of us here on Carol's website, let alone many millions of others, are true to our conservative beliefs first and our party second. I would leave the Republican party in a minute, if I found a better way to get my beliefs represented.
